Sign up on the wait list and shepherd the first matriculation meeting to receive a permission number for enrollment Some ensembles are “hidden” within MUSIC 171: Chamber Music. Be sure to sign up for the correct section. We have many instructors in some instrument areas, and each teaches their own section. Be sure to sign up for the correct section. TRY AXESS AND SIMPLE ENROLL: Sometimes one will work and flipside won’t. Try both. TRY A DIFFERENT BROWSER: Axess and SimpleEnroll both sometimes have compatibility issues with Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. Masterclasses are sealed by design. Be sure that you aren’t trying to enroll in the MASTERCLASS section of a matriculation instead of the PRACTICUM section of the class. If all else fails, stop by Braun 101 between 8am and 12pm, or 1pm and 4pm. Try enrolling on our computer so we can see the issues you see. Student interfaces are variegated than staff or sense interfaces, so it helps to write your problem in person. Graduate Students Ensembles The Department of Music hosts many performing ensembles and combos. Participation is not limited to Music majors, but auditions are required. Some ensembles are unshut to polity members. If you are new to Stanford, you will have to audition, regardless of whether or not you submitted a supplemental audition. Some ensembles require students to hearing each year. Be prepared to play études, a sonata, a concerto excerpt, or anything else that demonstrates your abilities. For hearing information in Winter or Spring Quarter, contact the individual ensemble directors via email, though students who want to hearing for chamber music in any quarter are encouraged to hearing inStoringQuarter. ALL STANFORD STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER FOR ENSEMBLES. A Zero-Unit Enrollment option has been created for graduate students and for students unable to enroll in lessons or ensembles.
